Summer is winding down and cooler weather and football season will soon be upon us. It’s about time!
Speaking of time, if it’s time for you to get your CIC update or earn CE credit, look no further than our upcoming Ruble and CIC at Virginia Beach in September. September is ideal to hang out at the beach while you get your education requirements done. Can’t get away? No worries, the CIC course is also available via live webinar as part of our new hybrid mode. You can register at www.piavadc.com.
Please mark your calendar for our Fall Social on October 6th from 5:30-7:30 pm. at the Richmond Country Club. Join us and mingle with fellow PIA members, members of our Young Professional’s Council and our Company Executive Advisory Council. Hors d 'Oeuvres and entertainment will be provided.
We are already hard at work on our 2023 Convention at Virginia Beach. The feedback on our 2022 speakers was very positive and we will look for more exciting presenters and topics for next year. If you have any suggestions, please contact me or Sheryl Chasse.

2022 Fall Social Invitation
Sheryl Chasse Celebrates 10 Years with PIAVADC
On August 7, 2012 Sheryl Chasse joined PIA VA/DC as Director of Education and Event Coordinator. In those 10 years, Sheryl has been very active with our students helping them to map out their educational objectives. She works closely with The National Alliance and the AIMS Society to deliver quality educational opportunities to our students.
Since joining PIA Sheryl has been responsible for overseeing over 1,000 classes. When the pandemic hit, Sheryl was instrumental in moving our in-person classes to webinars and then to hybrids. We never missed a beat. Since 2020, Sheryl has expanded her responsibilities to include PIA North Carolina. No matter the challenge, she takes it on and succeeds. She even makes time to teach every now and then!
Sheryl is also the liaison to our Young Professionals Council and can be seen at all of their events enthusiastically cheering them on.
Sheryl has done many things leading up to her PIA experience, both inside and outside the insurance industry, from sales to recruiting. She is a Licensed P&C and L&H agent in Virginia.
On a personal note, Sheryl hails from Maine but has been a Virginian for over 20 years. She has a grown son, Dominic, and a goldendoodle puppy named Indy Anna.
