Outstanding Agent of the Year
This recognition will be awarded to an agency owner, producer, customer service representative, or other agency employee. Consideration should be given to those who have either achieved or working towards professional development designations, professional development of other staff, membership in industry organizations, previous insurance/business experience, insurance company relationships, active volunteer in industry organizations, promotion of agency system to public, teaching/speaking at industry events, active participation in PIAVA/DC events, committees, membership recruitment, active involvement in local, state and / or federal legislative issues, support of PIAVA/DC’s legislative positions, and contributions of service to community charitable, civic, religious or business organizations.

Consideration should be given to previous work experience, current position, achievements, assistance given to agents, degree of technical knowledge, awareness of market conditions and industry problems. Candidate should continue professional development through designations, active volunteer in an industry organizations, promotion of agency system to public, teaching/speaking at industry events, active participation in PIA VA/DC events, committees, membership recruitment, active involvement in local, state and / or federal legislative issues, in addition to support of PIA VA/DC’s legislative positions, and contributions of service to community, charitable, civic, religious or business organizations.

This includes an officer, marketing representative, underwriter, claims adjuster, loss control person, or other staff member. Consideration should be given to previous work experience, current position, achievements, assistance given to agents, degree of technical knowledge, awareness of market conditions and industry problems. Candidate should continue professional development through designations, active volunteer in an industry organizations, promotion of agency system to public, teaching/speaking at industry events, active participation in PIA VA/DC events, committees, membership recruitment, active involvement in local, state and/or federal legislative issues, in addition to support of PIA VA/DC’s legislative positions, and contributions of service to community, charitable, civic, religious or business organizations.
